The Importance of Hiring a Licensed Contractor

* In California, the law requires certain types of work, especially in construction and signage, to be performed by a licensed contractor. Hiring an unlicensed contractor can expose you to significant risks, including subpar work, legal liabilities, and difficulty enforcing contracts or warranties. Without a valid license, contractors may not be insured or bonded, leaving you vulnerable to costly mistakes, delays, or potential fines. Protect your investment, ensure quality and compliance with local regulations, and minimize risks by choosing a licensed professional for your project.

In California, Assembly Bill 2622 raised the limit for unlicensed work to $1,000. This means an unlicensed person can only bid on projects costing up to $1,000 without needing a contractor's license.
